Dr. Alf Hitel Bunes is a Board Certified Endodontist and specialist member of the American Association of Endodontics (AAE). He took his endodontic residency at University of Pennsylvania. He received his dental degree from the University of the East, Philippines and University of Bergen, Norway. He has been practicing general dentistry for 13 years in Norway. He had two years of Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Eastman Institute for Oral Health, University of Rochester in which he was awarded the Handelman’s award. He received his endodontic specialty at the University of Pennsylvania were he received the best case presenter award. During his time at Upenn, he presented his research study at the annual AAE meeting 2015 on “incidence of Missed Canals in Previously Treated Premolars and Molars Evaluated by CBCT ” and he also co-authored two studies that were published in Journal of Endodontics and Endodontic Topics. Dr. Bunes has experience in teaching CE courses and the microsurgical techniques to general dentists and Endodontists attending the microsurgical course at Upenn. Dr. Bunes has lectured various topics in endodontics locally and internationally.
