Meet Dr. Taggar
Dr. Tanjit Taggar is originally from New Jersey. After high school, he joined an accelerated, seven-year BS/DMD program and graduated from Fairleigh Dickenson University in 2009 and from the University of Pennsylvania with his Doctor of Dental Medicine. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from his undergraduate program and at the top of his dental class at the University of Pennsylvania. Upon completion of dental school, Dr. Taggar moved south to the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he earned his certificate and Master of Science degree in Endodontics.
Dr. Taggar has been extensively involved with research during his entire educational carrer. He was a part of the Research and Development Oral Health Department at Johnson and Johnson Consumer Companies. Dr. Taggar has received multiple grants for his research in his undergraduate and endodontic residency programs, and has presented his research at the national level. He currently has two publications in press.
Dr. Taggar serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the School of Medicine and Dentistry in the University of Rochester Medical Center. He will also serve as an Attending in the General Practice Residency Program at the Eastman Institute for Oral Health. He is a professional member of the Monroe County Dental Society, Seventh District Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the American Association of Endodontists.
Dr. Taggar is now a permanent resident of Rochester where his wife is in her residency at Strong Memorial Hospital.
